CIC Insurance Group has announced the audited results for the year ended December 31, 2025.

CIC Insurance Group PLC reported insurance revenue of Ksh 24.5 billion in 2025, up from Ksh 23.1 billion in 2024.

This growth reflects stronger uptake of insurance products and improved market penetration across Kenya and the region.

The Group’s profit before tax rose to Ksh 1.77 billion, compared to Ksh 993 million in 2024. Net income was boosted by higher investment returns and contributions from asset management entities, which delivered Ksh 1.76 billion in income.

Net Profit and Earnings Per Share

After taxation, CIC posted a net profit of Ksh 1.18 billion, a significant improvement from Ksh 725 million in the prior year. Earnings per share climbed to Ksh 0.41, up from Ksh 0.26, signaling stronger shareholder value creation.

The Group maintained a solid asset base of Ksh 39.9 billion, unchanged from 2024. Equity rose to Ksh 11.3 billion, driven by retained earnings and revaluation reserves.

Cashflow Challenges

Operating cash flows fell sharply to Ksh 1.57 billion from Ksh 6.68 billion in 2024, while financing and investing activities recorded net outflows. As a result, cash and cash equivalents declined to Ksh 9.5 billion at year-end, down from Ksh 10.2 billion.

Despite the profit growth, the Board announced that no dividend will be paid for 2025, continuing the policy from 2024.

The directors stated, “The directors do not recommend payment of a dividend for the year ended December 31, 2025.”

The directors emphasized the credibility of the results, noting,“The financial statements have been audited by Deloitte & Touche LLP, Certified Public Accountants (Kenya), and received an unqualified opinion.”

Annual General Meeting

The Group confirmed that its Annual General Meeting will be held on May 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with formal notice to be issued separately.
