Kenya Railways Announces Job Opportunities: How to Apply

Kenya Railways has invited applications from qualified and experienced individuals to fill nine senior management positions, in a move aimed at strengthening the country’s rail transport system.

In a public notice, the corporation urged interested candidates to submit their applications through the official job portal available on its website, emphasizing that all submissions must be made online before the deadline of April 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The advertised vacancies include key leadership roles such as Rail Safety Manager, Passenger Services Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and Train Operations Manager, among others.

Requirements for Applicants

All positions fall under Grade RG3, and each has one available slot. Several roles are re-advertisements, while others are newly introduced to enhance operational efficiency within the corporation.

Kenya Railways noted that applicants must meet strict requirements, including submission of academic and professional certificates, a detailed curriculum vitae, and valid identification documents.

Shortlisted candidates will also be required to present clearance certificates from agencies such as the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The corporation warned against fraudulent schemes, cautioning applicants not to pay any fees during the recruitment process.

It also stressed that providing false information or fake documents would lead to disqualification and possible legal action.

Kenya Railways reaffirmed its commitment to equal opportunity employment, encouraging applications from women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups.

Only Kenyan citizens are eligible to apply, and hard copy submissions will not be accepted. Interested candidates who meet the requirements are invited to submit their applications via the job link available on the Kenya Railways website, www.krc.co.ke.

Applicants must clearly indicate the position applied for and the vacancy reference number in the subject heading.

Successful candidates will be offered a competitive remuneration package in accordance with the Corporation’s guidelines.
