The construction of a modern arena and entertainment district in central Nairobi marks a significant milestone in the Nairobi Railway City Project.
The development aims to reshape the capital’s urban core into a major regional hub for growth and investment. The project will reposition Nairobi’s central business district through large-scale urban renewal.
It will integrate sports, entertainment, culture, and commerce within a modern infrastructure framework.
“The construction of a modern arena and entertainment district in central Nairobi marks a significant milestone toward the realisation of the Nairobi Railway City Project,” President William Ruto said.
The development will place Nairobi’s CBD at the centre of regional activity and global attention. It will also expand opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural exchange.
“This development will position the capital’s CBD as a premier hub for sports, entertainment, culture, and commerce across East Africa and the world,” Ruto stated.
The project aligns with Kenya’s national infrastructure priorities and strengthens ongoing urban development efforts. It also links major flagship projects into a unified city development framework.
“Structured as a long-term partnership, the project aligns with Kenya’s national infrastructure priorities and completes the ecosystem we are building around the Talanta Stadium and the Bomas International Convention Complex,” he added.
