Sasini Plc Puts Modern Avocado Processing Plant Up for Sale in Nairobi

Sasini Plc has announced the sale of a modern avocado processing and packing plant in Nairobi.

In a notice dated Friday, April 10, 2026, the company invited bids from eligible and qualified investors for the purchase of the facility.

The plant, owned by its subsidiary Sasini Avocado EPZ Limited, is located at Sameer Industrial Park in the Industrial Area and was installed and commissioned in 2021.

The company said the facility is relatively new, well-maintained, and ready for immediate commercial use.

According to the notice, the move presents an opportunity for investors seeking to enter or expand within Kenya’s rapidly growing avocado export sector.

“The facility is ideal for investors or operators looking to scale within the avocado export and agribusiness value chain,” the company said in the tender notice.

The plant features a four-lane Eshet Eilon packing line with a processing capacity of up to eight tonnes per hour. It also includes a fully equipped cold storage room capable of holding up to four export containers at a time, alongside additional fittings and equipment.

Sasini stated that the plant is being sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis, either as a going concern or as an asset acquisition, with no warranties provided.

Only bidders who physically inspect the plant before submitting their bids will be considered.

Interested bidders can obtain tender documents from the company’s procurement office upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh 5,000.

The tender closes on May 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., with submissions to be delivered to the company’s registered office in Westlands, Nairobi.

Late bids will not be accepted, and the company reserves the right to accept or reject any application without giving reasons.

Sasini Plc is a Kenyan agribusiness company listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). It was founded in 1952 and operates in several counties, including Bomet, Nyeri, Kiambu, Mombasa, and Nairobi.

Sasini also has additional operations in dairy farming, livestock, forestry, tea warehousing in Mombasa, and other related activities for both local and export markets.
