Kenya’s state-owned Kenya Railways has announced multiple managerial vacancies as it seeks to strengthen operations across its rail network, according to a public notice issued this week.
The corporation invited applications from qualified and experienced candidates to fill nine senior positions, most of them at grade RG3.
The roles include Rail Safety Manager, Passenger Services Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and QMS and Risk Coordination Manager.
Other vacancies are in signaling, technical audit, stores and inventory, train operations, and accounts management.
Several of the advertised positions are re-advertisements, indicating previous recruitment efforts may not have yielded suitable candidates.
Three of the roles, Stores and Inventory Manager, Train Operations Manager, and Accounts Manager, are newly listed.
Kenya Railways said the recruitment aligns with its mandate to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable integrated rail network services.
The corporation operates both Meter Gauge Railway lines linking Mombasa to Nanyuki and Kisumu, and the Standard Gauge Railway between Mombasa and Naivasha, with ongoing extensions.
