Kenya Railways Issues Statement on Fraudulent Job Advertisements

Kenya Railways has issued a strong warning to the public over fraudulent job advertisements being circulated by scammers impersonating the corporation. 

In a statement, the corporation said fraudsters are publishing fake vacancies and misleading job seekers into paying money in exchange for non-existent employment opportunities. 

Kenya Railways clarified that all genuine job vacancies are only advertised through its official website, www.krc.co.ke, and in national daily newspapers.  

It further noted that applications are strictly submitted through the official job link provided on its website. 

Kenya Railways wishes to alert the public of fraudsters impersonating the Corporation by advertising fake job vacancies and soliciting money from unsuspecting job seekers. Be advised: All vacancies are published ONLY on the official website (www.krc.co.ke) and in national daily newspapers. Applications are submitted strictly through the official Job Link on the website,” Kenya Railways said.

Kenya Railways Does Not Charge Application Fee

The corporation emphasized that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process, including application, shortlisting, interviews, or appointment.

Message to Kenyans

Kenya Railways urged members of the public to remain vigilant, avoid engaging with suspicious advertisements, and verify all recruitment information through its official communication channels. 

“Any person or entity demanding payment in the name of Kenya Railways is fraudulent. Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant, disregard such advertisements, and verify all information through official Kenya Railways channels.”
