The Ministry of Education has provided clear guidelines on how Grade 10 learners can access their senior school admission placement letters.

To make the process simple and straightforward, the Ministry has outlined step-by-step instructions for students to follow.

By following these steps, learners can quickly log into the official portal, view their assigned schools, and download their placement letters for printing and submission.

  1. Visit the Ministry of Education Website with information related to Grade 10 Placement, which is https://placement.education.go.ke/
  2. Select Download Letter.
  3. Enter the Student’s Assessment Number, and also enter the KNEC Code, which is also the Center Number
  4. After filling in the details, you will be able to access the admission letter/offer letter.

Details Contained in the Offer Letter

The Grade 10 Senior School Letter of Offer is an official admission document issued to confirm a learner’s placement into a senior school.

It provides essential institutional details such as the school’s name, contact information, physical location, and the academic year of admission.

The letter clearly identifies the learner through personal and placement details, including name, assessment number, pathway, sub-county, sex, special needs status, and a unique admission code.

The letter formally communicates the learner’s admission to Grade 10 and specifies the reporting dates.

Senior School Admission Requirements & Fees

It outlines all requirements necessary for successful admission, including a list of mandatory documents, completion of a medical assessment by a registered medical practitioner, and detailed admission requirements covering personal effects, learning materials, and the full school uniform.

Additionally, the letter requires parents or guardians to provide their contact details, as well as those of the local Chief or Assistant Chief, for verification and emergency purposes.
