Fuliza is a service that allows M-Pesa users to complete transactions even when their accounts have insufficient funds.
This overdraft service is eligible only if you have an active Safaricom line that is registered with M-Pesa, which actively receives funds.
All M-Pesa users who have registered with their national ID, Kenyan passport or military ID can activate and enjoy Fuliza services.
However, according to Safaricom, not all these registered members are immediately qualified for a loan limit as it requires a specific period.
“A limit that specifies the maximum amount of overdraft that an individual can access will be issued to them upon opting in,” said Safaricom.
According to Safariccom, customers with a network of less than 6 months will have a ZERO LIMIT.
Safaricom has urged Fuliza customers to make timely repayments of their loans to grow their limit.
The company also recommended that Kenyans keep on saving regularly.
Safaricom also advised customers to avoid withdrawing money from their accounts to show development and dependability over time.
“Loan limits are automatically reviewed by the system and at the bank’s discretion, depending on how consistently you’ve been saving, making timely loan repayments (including Okoa Jahazi), and utilizing the other Safaricom services (voice, data, and M-Pesa),” said Safaricom.
Additionally, Fuliza customers should keep their lines active and topped up while using more M-Pesa services.
The customer is required to save continuously without withdrawing to increase the loan limit.
According to Safaricom, if this procedure is followed strictly, the Fuliza loan limit will improve.
