“You’re Not My Type”: Zari Orders Security to Remove Casually Dressed Guests at Birthday Party

Zari Hassan, popularly known as Zari The Boss Lady, enforced a strict dress code at her 46th birthday party, allegedly turning away guests in jeans and T-shirts.

The Ugandan socialite and businesswoman celebrated her birthday at the Kampala Marriott Hotel on September 25, 2026, where she hosted an exclusive black-tie dinner attended by family, friends, and other guests.

According to a video circulating on social media, Zari instructed security to remove guests who arrived at the event wearing jeans and T-shirts.

“If you’re in jeans and T-shirts, sorry, you’re not my type. Security, please do your job,” Zari said.

Zari’s birthday dinner was reportedly designed as a formal black-tie affair, with attendees expected to dress accordingly.

The celebration featured elaborate event styling, custom cake artistry, and other luxury-themed details as she marked her 46th birthday.

Zari appeared at the celebration in a white outfit featuring black details around the waist. Her cake was also styled to complement her outfit, while she completed her look with a curled black hairstyle.

Her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, also attended the celebration dressed in an all-black suit paired with gold accessories.

Shakib celebrated his wife with a birthday message in which he wished her happiness, love, blessings, and everything she desired as she marked a new year.

“Help me wish my beautiful wife a very happy birthday! May this new year bring you endless happiness, love, blessings, and everything your heart desires. Happy birthday to you, queen! Love you always,” Shakib said.

Boss Lady Reminds Guests to Follow Host’s Dress Code

Zari’s choice of outfit appeared to match the formal theme of the celebration, with her white dress, black details, and matching cake contributing to the coordinated look.
