Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) has announced 17 vacancies on permanent and pensionable terms, with applications closing on October 14, 2026.

The Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) has announced 17 vacancies across various departments, giving qualified professionals an opportunity to secure permanent and pensionable employment.

The advertised positions cover human resource management, research, assessment, administration, therapy, counselling, pharmaceutical services, marketing, legal affairs and corporate communication.

Through the external advertisement, KISE has invited qualified professionals to apply for the available positions and join the institution on permanent and pensionable terms.

The institute has advertised the following positions:

  • Assistant Director Human Resource Management – KISE Grade 4 – 1 post
  • Assistant Director Research, Consultancy and Partnership – KISE Grade 4 – 1 post
  • Assistant Director Assessment and Outreach – KISE Grade 4 – 1 post
  • Principal Hospitality Officer – KISE Grade 5 – 1 post
  • Senior Therapist – KISE Grade 6 – 1 post
  • Psychological Counsellor I – KISE Grade 7 – 1 post
  • Assistant Office Administrator I – KISE Grade 7 – 1 post
  • Pharmaceutical Technologist III – KISE Grade 9 – 1 post
  • Senior Marketing Officer – KISE Grade 6 – 1 post
  • Principal Administration Officer – KISE Grade 5 – 1 post
  • Assessor II (Functional Assessment – Autism) – KISE Grade 8 – 3 posts
  • Assessor II (Functional Assessment – Audiology) – KISE Grade 8 – 2 posts

Notably, KISE has marked the Assistant Director Human Resource Management position as a re-advertisement.

How to Apply 

Interested and qualified candidates must submit their applications through the institute’s online recruitment portal.

“All applications MUST be addressed to the Director/Chief Executive Officer, Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), P.O. Box 48413 – 00100, Nairobi, and submitted through application link: https://recruitment.kise.ac.ke/,” the Institute stated.

Applicants should prepare the required documents and personal information before starting the online application process.

Each application should include:

  • An application letter
  • An up-to-date Curriculum Vitae
  • Academic and professional certificates
  • Relevant testimonials
  • National Identification cards
  • Current mobile Telephone number(s)
  • The names and addresses of two referees

KISE Sets October 14 Application Deadline

Candidates have until October 14, 2026, to complete and submit their applications through the recruitment portal.

To avoid delays or disqualification, applicants should confirm that they have provided all the required information and attached the necessary supporting documents.

“Applicants are advised to ensure that all required information and supporting documents are duly provided and that their applications are successfully submitted through the virtual application link before the deadline,” the Institute said.

After the recruitment process, KISE will contact only shortlisted and successful candidates.

The institute has also warned that canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.

Additionally, KISE has reaffirmed its commitment to equal opportunity and merit-based recruitment.
