Deputy Party Leader of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), who is also the Governor of Mombasa County, Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir, has announced the death of Peter Odhiambo.

Nassir confirmed the death of Odhiambo on behalf of ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

Peter, who was famously known as “Rainbow,” served as the County Organizing Secretary in Mombasa County before his demise.

Nassir recounted how the late was a committed and passionate man in party mobilization activities.

He championed the ideals of justice, unity, and service that left an indelible mark on the ODM movement in Mombasa and beyond.

Nassir added that the energy, loyalty, and unwavering support from Odhiambo to the people will sorely be missed.

“Peter was a committed and passionate party mobilizer whose dedication to the ideals of justice, unity, and service left an indelible mark on the ODM movement in Mombasa and beyond. His energy, loyalty, and unwavering belief in the cause of the people will be sorely missed,” Nassir said.

“We join his family, friends, and the entire ODM fraternity in mourning this great comrade. May his memory continue to inspire us to strengthen the movement he so faithfully served,” he added.

List of ODM Members Who Have Passed Away This Year

Odhiambo’s death continues to add the list of ODM party members who have lost their lives this year alone.

Among those members who passed on this year is the ODM Ward Chairperson for Awendo, Volley Among’o, and ODM party’s Chairman Jorim Olweny, of Muhoroni-Koru Ward.

Kasipul Member of Parliament Ong’ondo Were also died this year through assassination by unknown people on April 30.
