The Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has issued a weather outlook for the next five days from November 14 to November 18.

In a publication dated November 13, the forecast Kenya Met said rainfall is expected in some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Coast, the South-eastern lowlands, and North-eastern Kenya.

However, most parts of the country are likely to be sunny and dry.

The Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley

It comprises counties like Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, and West Pokot.

There will be chances of rain and sunny intervals in a few places in the morning.

Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur, as well as sunny intervals.

Nights will be partly cloudy and showers will occur over a few places.

Maximum average temperatures will not exceed 31°C, while minimum temperatures will not fall below 08°C.

North-western

Turkana and Samburu Counties will experience sunny intervals in the morning.

Kenya Met said sunny intervals will continue also in the afternoon.

Nights will be partly cloudy.

Maximum average temperatures will range from 37°C, while minimum temperatures will not be below 08°C.

Highlands East of the Rift Valley

Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, and Nairobi are counties of this region.

Morning rains over a few places, as well as cloudy, breaking into sunny intervals at the end of the forecast, are likely to occur.

Showers over a few places in the afternoon.

During nighttime, the chance of showers is likely to occur.

Maximum average temperatures will range between 28°C – 30°C, while minimum temperatures will be at 05°C – 08°C.

North-eastern

This region has only five counties, which include Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo.

Morning will experience sunny intervals.

Showers and sunny intervals over a few places in the afternoon.

Kenya Met said nights will be partly cloudy, and showers may occur over a few places.

Maximum temperatures will not exceed 38°C, while minimum temperatures will range from 17°C.

South-eastern lowlands

This region has counties like Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta Counties, as well asthe  inland parts of Tana River.

Morning rains will occur.

Showers over a few places in the afternoon.

Nights will also experience showers.

Maximum temperatures will not exceed 35°C, while minimum temperatures will not fall below 14°C.

Coast

Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale Counties, as well as coastal parts of Tana River County,y are counties in the coastal region.

According to Kenya Met, morning showers and sunny intervals will occur.

Showers and sunny intervals will also occur in the afternoon.

Nights will be partly cloudy with few chances of showers at the end of the forecast.
