The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is the board responsible for placing students in various tertiary institutions and courses they qualify.

Degree Courses at tertiary institutions are based on cluster points, subject combinations, among others, after completing the Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE).

After KCSE, students who have scored a mean grade of C+ and above apply for courses through KUCPPS.

However, some courses are highly regarded as top-paying in a dynamic market.

This article explores some of the best top-paying KUCCPS Degree Courses.

1. Bachelor of Aviation

Aviation is regarded as the top-paying careers in the world, and at the same time is expensive to pursue.

There are several institution that offers this course, which include the Kenya School of Flying, Kenya Aeronautical College, Kenya School of Flying, East Africa School of Aviation, Ninety-Nines Flying School, Nairobi Flight Training Ltd, Flight Training Center, and Capital Connect Aviation

Mathematics, Physics, and Geography are core subjects to study in this course.

A pilot starts with about Ksh 132,000 per month, and the highest-paid earns around Ksh 420,000 per month.

2. Bachelor of Architecture and Quantitative Survey

Architectural creativity is highly needed in the modern world, as students need art, creativity, and mathematical skills to pursue this course.

The student must have scored at least a mean grade of B+ in KCSE.

Architects can start earning from Ksh 50,000 to Ksh 283,000

3. Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery

This course has been regarded as the most top-paying Degree course in Kenya for decades.

You need to score B+ and above to enroll for this course, which lasts for at least 5 years.

Doctors who pursue this course earn up to Ksh 400,000

4. Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering

Software engineers typically make between KSh 200,000 and KSh 500,000 every month, especially at large corporations like Safaricom, IBM, and Google.

However, in Kenya, many businesses promote their products and services through digital platforms, while mobile applications for entertainment, finance, education, and other needs have created vast opportunities for web developers and software engineers.

5. Bachelor of Actuarial Science

For individuals with a professional certificate from the IFOA and SOA is more advantageous in Kenya.

Graduates can pursue career opportunities at institutions such as the RBA, IRA, CIC Insurance, Alexander Forbes, Old Mutual, Kenya Re, the Nairobi Securities Exchange, and various other financial organizations.
