The Digital Health Agency (DHA) has announced 70 job vacancies as part of an ongoing nationwide initiative aimed at digitising Kenya’s healthcare system to support the realisation of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
In a notice issued by the agency on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the vacancies fall under the Health Information Technology Digitisation for Universal Healthcare Project, a key programme designed to enhance healthcare delivery through the integration of digital systems across the country.
According to the DHA, the recruitment drive is being conducted in collaboration with the State Department for Medical Services, following an agreement with the Safaricom Consortium to implement the project. A Project Management Office has already been established to oversee the rollout.
“To strengthen system utilisation and provide on-the-ground support to health facilities, the project seeks to recruit qualified and motivated County Digital Health Support Officers who will be deployed at the county level,” read part of the notice.
The available positions include 47 Project County Support Officers (Grade DUH 6) and 23 Project County Assistant Support Officers (Grade DUH 7), bringing the total number of vacancies to 70.
Successful candidates will be deployed at the county level to strengthen system utilisation and provide technical support to health facilities.
The positions are offered on a two-year contract, renewable based on performance and project needs.
The agency stressed that applicants must submit applications for only one position and ensure that all provided information is accurate, warning that providing false details or fake documents is a criminal offence.
It also cautioned against canvassing, stating that any attempt to influence the recruitment process will lead to automatic disqualification.
In line with constitutional provisions on fair competition and inclusivity, the DHA encouraged applications from persons with disabilities, marginalised groups, and individuals from diverse communities across the country.

The agency further warned members of the public to beware of fraudsters, reiterating that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
