The Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB) has announced 13 job vacancies across nine positions in a bid to strengthen its institutional capacity.
In a notice, the Board invited applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill the positions, noting that it operates as a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency under the National Treasury and Economic Planning.
The Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB) established under the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act No. 18 of 2012, mandates itself to set and regulate accounting and financial reporting standards in the public sector
Among the advertised positions is Director, Accounting Standards (ASB 2), with one vacancy.
The Board is also seeking to recruit a Deputy Director, Human Resources and Administration (ASB 3), with one position available.
At the mid-management level, PSASB listed three Assistant Director roles under ASB 4, including Internal Audit, Accounting Standards, and Internal Audit Standards, each with one vacancy.
The Board further advertised six positions under ASB 5, comprising two vacancies for Principal Internal Audit Standards Officer, four for Principal Accounting Standards Officer, and one for Principal Office Administrator.
In addition, one vacancy has been announced for the position of Driver I at ASB 9.

PSASB directed interested candidates to access detailed job descriptions and specifications on its official website.
Applications must be submitted online through the Board’s recruitment portal.
The deadline for submission is May 4, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
The Board emphasized its commitment to equal opportunity employment, encouraging applications from women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

PSASB cautioned applicants against fraud, stating that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process. It also warned that presenting fake certificates or documents is a criminal offence.
The Board will contact only shortlisted candidates, and those selected must meet the integrity requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
The Board added that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
