The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced that there are only nine days remaining before the closure of its ongoing application window for various programmes.
In a notice to applicants on April 27, 2026, KUCCPS urged them to submit their applications before the stated deadline of May 6, 2026.
KUCCPS warned against last-minute submissions that could lead to system delays or worse, missed opportunities.
It confirmed that the current application cycle covers a wide range of programmes, including degree courses in universities, diploma and certificate courses offered under Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
KUCCPS also said that courses in the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) are available to the qualified applicants.
Teacher Training College (TTC) programmes for secondary education and also specialised courses offered at the Kenya Utalii College are also on the list for the programmes offered by KUCCPS.

According to KUCCPS, the application portal remains open and accessible through its official website where candidates can review available courses, revise their choices, and track their application status.
The Service has been informing the applicants through its platforms on the importance of careful selection of courses and also advising applicants to consider their academic qualifications, career interests, and programme requirements before making final submissions.
KUCCPS had previously noted that the placement process is competitive and merit-based, with placement determined by cluster points, available capacity, and applicants’ choices.
Education stakeholders have consistently encouraged students to utilise the KUCCPS system as a ticket to higher education and skills development.
This is particularly in light of the government’s continued push towards strengthening technical training and aligning education offered with the labour market needs, and also funding for students.
