Justice Yuvinalis Maronga Angima is an experienced Kenyan judge currently serving at the Environment and Land Court.
With a legal career for more than two decades, he has built a name as a judge with a vast experience in litigation, public service, and judicial administration.
Angima holds a strong academic foundation in law, having earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi in 1996.
He later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law in 1997, which ushered him for admission to the Roll of Advocates in 1998.
In 2012, he further advanced his studies by completing a Master of Laws degree at the University of South Africa.
Apart from his formal education, Justice Angima is also a Certified Professional Mediator and a Certified Secretary (CS).
Justice Angima began his legal career in private practice, where he gained hands-on experience in litigation.
Between 1998 and 1999, he worked as an advocate at Migos Ogamba & Co. Advocates.
He later joined Mamicha & Company Advocates from 1999 to 2004, handling a vast array of civil matters.
From 2004 to 2006, he served as a litigation advocate at Rachier & Amollo Advocates, one of Kenya’s leading law firms.

In 2006, Justice Angima joined the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), where he served as an Attorney in the Civil Litigation and Asset Recovery Department until 2012.
He later moved to the Commission on Administrative Justice (Ombudsman), serving as Director of Legal and Advisory Services from 2012 to 2016.
In 2016, he briefly served as the Corporation Secretary of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority.

Justice Angima was appointed as the judge of the Environment and Land Court in 2016.
Since then, he has served in various stations, including Embu and Nyahururu.
He is also a member of the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association and the Law Society of Kenya.
