KCB Names New Corporate Banking Director After John Okulo’s Move to Sidian Bank

KCB Bank Kenya has appointed Peter Kipkorir Ng’eno as its new Corporate Banking Director, effective Friday, March 27, 2026.

The appointment follows the exit of John Okulo, who has joined Sidian Bank as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

“KCB has appointed Peter Ng’eno as the Director, Corporate Banking – KCB Bank Kenya, with effect from March 27, 2026,” read part of the statement. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

KCB Appoints Peter Ng’eno as New Corporate Banking Director

Before his appointment, Ng’eno served as Executive Head of Client Coverage and Business Development in Corporate Banking at KCB Bank Kenya, a position he has held since February 2022.

He has also held several other roles within the division, including Sector Head – Manufacturing (2019–2022) and Acting Corporate Banking Director (April 2021–September 2021).

Ng’eno brings over 20 years of experience in the banking sector. In addition to his tenure at KCB Bank, he has worked at several financial institutions, including CFC Stanbic Bank, where he served as a Senior Relationship Manager; Standard Chartered Bank, where he was a Business Relationship Manager; and NIC Bank, where he worked as a Business Relationship Officer.

He is skilled in leadership, corporate and commercial banking, syndications, trade finance, and retail banking.

Ng’eno holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Nairobi.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the growth and sustainability of the Corporate Banking business, leveraging the Group’s scale and capabilities.

John Okulo Appointed Sidian Bank CEO

His appointment comes amid leadership changes in the sector, following the departure of John Okulo, who was recently appointed as the new Managing Director and CEO of Sidian Bank.

Okulo is a seasoned banking executive with over 28 years of experience across regional and international markets.

He previously served as Group Director of Corporate Banking at NCBA Bank and was the founding Managing Director of NC Bank Uganda.

He has also held roles at Stanbic Bank, Barclays Bank, Citibank, and Standard Chartered Bank. Okulo holds a Master of Science degree in Economics and is widely recognised for his expertise in corporate banking, risk management, and strategic leadership
