Will the Marriage Work? Viral Couple Brian and Daphne Back Together After 11 Years of Divorce

A Ugandan couple, Daphne and Brian, has gone viral on social media following their reunion after being divorced for 11 years.
In a two-hour interview, Daphne and Brian shared their love story.
They said they met in church, fell in love, and got married a year later. They had two children and divorced five years later.
Daphne initiated the divorce, saying Brian was constantly unfaithful.
Reason For Divorce
Daphne further says that in her last attempt, she went to their pastor for counselling.
The pastor called Brian, requesting him to join his wife in the counselling session.
Brian apparently told the pastor that he wasn’t interested, and if Daphne wanted to leave, she should.
After Daphne left, Brian realised that he had fumbled the love of his life.
Brian Went To Therapy
Finally, Brian said he decided to go into therapy and get help with the issues that had broken his marriage. He faced his issues and became a better man.
Brian added that he dated many women after the divorce. But he never truly got over the mother of his children.
For 11 years, even as he was dating other women, he repeatedly told Daphne that he loved her.
Daphne says she refused as she dated other men. She was looking for a man who matched her values and a father figure for her children.
Both Dated Other People For 11 Years
“Of course I dated because I was looking for a daddy figure,” Daphne said.
Even then, Brian stayed in her life as a present, supportive dad to their babies.
By mid 2025, Daphne said she had found a new man. He lives in the USA. Brian had signed the documents allowing her to take the children with her to the US.
She was due to travel to Nairobi to complete the visa process, while her church had requested her to be in charge of some program for a week or so.

Their Reunion
So she requested Brian to come stay with them for that period and help out with the school run.
Brian accepted, and he went, took care of the kids, and dealt with the domestic workers efficiently.
By the end of those 10 or so days, Brian had shown Daphne that he was a changed man. Daphne said in the interview.
Brian says he asked her to get back with him and she cancelled her US plans. So, 11 years after the divorce, they are remarrying.
