Political activist and human rights advocate Dina Agai has claimed that President William Ruto has what it takes to serve a second term.
Speaking on a podcast, Agai has said that people in the Nyanza region have been convinced by the development projects President Ruto has undertaken and now want him to secure a second term.
Agai has added that President Ruto has demonstrated clear leadership by knowing what he wants to achieve and taking action instead of waiting for others to act.
“Kenyan politics needs something called grit, which Ruto has,” she said.
Nyanza Politics
According to Dina, many people in Nyanza are going to vote for Ruto, as everyone around her plans on doing so, as she mentions some of the projects Ruto has completed in Nyanza.
“I believe Daktari is going to be re-elected,” she says.

Additionally, Dina said that Kenyans need to cut President Ruto some slack because, although he has his flaws, he has also accomplished some things that he promised.
“We need to cut the President (William Ruto) some slack. The opposition is absolutely anti everything mpaka unashindwa. What Ruto has done in our region (Nyanza) has secured his votes and those around me,” Dina says.
Her View On Opposition
Dina further said that if people listen to the opposition, they get the impression that Kenya is burning down because of all the negative things they focus on.
She went ahead to speak about how Ruto was so loyal to former president Uhuru Kenyatta, defending Ruto, saying that he is a good man, and she is surprised why Kenyans are against him.
“I believe in his second term, he is going to complete what he started,” she says.
On the same note, Dina says that she is creating awareness among Kenyans on the things that Ruto has accomplished since he began his term.
Raila Odinga
Her reason for this is so that people can vote for Ruto the second time because she believes he is the right choice for the country.
The human rights activist also spoke about the late Raila Odinga, saying that no one can replace him and all those who are trying to will fail.
She remembered Raila as a very good man who wanted the best for his country, saying that he was a man of a lifetime.
Dina In Politics
In Dina’s political ambitions, she said she is vying for the Kibra member of parliament seat because she lives there, and according to her, she has what it takes.

“Mimi naingia kwa ring! I will vie for Kibra because I live in Kibra, so naelewa the terrain and what they need. Naona natosha because nimekuwa siasa for long, and I believe I have what it takes. I have vied for Woman Representative in Nairobi. I will unveil myself, but watu wengi wananijua,” she said in the podcast.
Come the election period in 2027, she plans to be on the ballot and has said she will soon make an official announcement to the people.
