Prophet Owuor Secures a Place in Heaven for Girl Who Clapped for Him

Prophet Dr. David Edward Owuor, popularly known as Prophet Owuor, has sparked reactions online after claiming he has the authority to secure a place in heaven for a girl who clapped for him during a gathering.

Speaking during the sermon at his church, Owuor told the girl that her act of clapping for him would ensure that she entered eternity, while repeatedly stressing the extent of the authority he claimed to possess.

“Because you clapped, I will make sure you enter eternity by authority. I have so much authority. I have so much authority, nobody here knows it,” he said.

Prophet Owuor Sparks Reactions After Claiming Girl Will Enter Eternity

Owuo further claimed that the girl’s entry into eternity had been declared by what he described as the authority of God himself.

“I have so much authority. The authority of God himself has declared that because you clapped, you enter eternity,” he said.

He went on to tell the girl that he had secured her in God’s eternity.

“I have encircled you in God’s eternity,” Owuor added.

Meanwhile, his remarks have since sparked debate online, with some Kenyans questioning the meaning of “eternity” and challenging Owuor’s claim of spiritual authority.

Bonface Maenge questioned whether the eternity referred to by Owuor meant eternal life or eternal damnation, as Denis Ngwae argued that eternity could refer to different spiritual destinations.

“Whoever claps would not perish but enter eternity. Please, which eternity to be specific, eternal life or eternal damnation? Lemme know in the comments,” said Maenge.

“There is two different kinds of eternity: heavenly eternity and hell eternity. Even those who were with Jesus had no such power,” Ngwae said.

Others were more critical of the preacher’s remarks. Sheikh described the statement as blasphemous and argued that Owuor did not have the authority to determine who enters eternity.
