Former Housing Finance Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a member of the Centum Board of Directors, Frank Marangu Ireri, is dead.

The family announced that Ireri died on Sunday, 26th October 2025.

“It is with deep sorrow, and acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing of our beloved Frank Marangu Ireri on Sunday, 26th October 2025,” reads part of the announcement.

Frank was the son of the late Dr. Dunstan and the late Peninah Ireri, and son-in-law to the late William and the late Mary Kimemia.

He was the loving husband of Angie, and a devoted father to Lian Waithera and Ella Gathoni.

Prayers will be held at his home on Tuesday, 28th, and Wednesday, 29th October, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Karura Community Chapel on Friday, 31st October 2025, at a time to be announced, followed by cremation.

“In God’s hands you rest; in our hearts you will forever remain — loved, cherished, and remembered always,” the family said.

Frank Marangu Ireri Career

Ireri has been serving as a member of the Centum Real Estate Board of Directors since August 2020.

He served as Housing Finance  Managing Director from July 2006 to December 2018.

Before this, he worked as Head of Operations at Barclaycard between January 2005 and June 2006.

He also served at the same Company as a Regional Service Delivery Director from February 2003 to December 2004.

Ireri also worked as Service Delivery Director at Barclays Bank of Kenya from July 2002 to January 2003.

Early Career

Ireri started his career as an Audit Assistant at Deloitte Haskins Sells back in July 1985.

He then joined MUMurdoch, McCrae & Smith in November 1986.

Ireri worked as a Country Financial Controller at Citibank NA Kenya Branch between July 1989 and February 1999.

Between March 1999 and June 2002, he worked as a General Manager Finance & Operations.
