Another Easy Coach Bus Involved in Accident Less Than 24 Hours After Fatal Crash

Another Easy Coach bus has been involved in an accident near Nakuru City, less than 24 hours after another bus operated by the company was involved in a fatal crash that killed five people.
According to reports shared on social media, the Easy Coach bus, which was travelling to Kakamega, was pushed off the road by a trailer near Nakuru City.
No fatalities were reported in the latest incident.
“A Rogue trailer driver hit and pushed an Easy Coach bus to Kakamega off the road right outside Nakuru City. There were no fatalities reported. A few days ago, another Easy Coach bus killed a family of five near Kikopey.”
Easy Coach Bus Pushed Off Road by Trailer
The reports indicate that the trailer hit the Easy Coach bus and forced it off the road, with claims noting that the trailer driver fled into the bushes after the incident.
However, the circumstances surrounding the accident had not been independently confirmed before the time of publication.

The latest accident sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some Kenyans questioning the safety of Easy Coach buses following the two incidents.
One user questioned whether the company’s previous reputation for safety had changed, asking: “Once known for zero accidents, what’s really happening?”
Another Kenyan expressed concern over the frequency of the incidents, arguing that the accidents were now becoming too much for the company.
In addition, Others linked the latest accident to the fatal crash involving another Easy Coach bus, with one commenter questioning whether careless driving could be contributing to the accidents.
However, other users defended Easy Coach, arguing that the latest incident should not be blamed on the bus company if reports that a trailer forced the bus off the road are accurate.
“They were pushed off the road by a trailer whose driver ran away. How’s that their problem? A bit of research would spare you the hyperbole you’re now exhibiting here,” Mahnuel asked on X.
Five Killed in Earlier Easy Coach Crash
The latest incident came less than 24 hours after an Easy Coach bus was involved in a fatal crash at Kikopey along the Gilgil-Nakuru Highway.
The accident occurred on Sunday night, September 13, 2026, at around 11:00 p.m., when an Easy Coach bus travelling from Gilgil towards Nakuru collided head-on with a Toyota IST.

According to police, five people died in the crash. Four of those killed were occupants of the private vehicle, comprising two female adults and two juveniles who died at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota IST later succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Gilgil Hospital, bringing the total number of fatalities to five.
Several other passengers were injured in the crash and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Gilgil Sub-County Police Commander Winston Mwakio confirmed the accident and said police had commenced investigations to establish its cause.
