DJ Shiti Appeals for Support as Family Struggles to Clear Father’s Hospital Bill

Kenyan comedian and content creator DJ Shiti has appealed for financial support to help his family settle his late father’s hospital bill and meet burial expenses.

In a message shared on his Instagram story on September 19, Shiti said he never expected such a moment to come to his family but he was glad for the additional years he had with his father despite the loss.

“I never imagined a day like this will ever land in our Home,” DJ Shiti stated.

DJ Shiti Appeals for Financial Support

Following his father’s death, DJ Shiti asked well-wishers to support the family in clearing the outstanding hospital bill and meeting burial arrangements.

He shared a Till number through which members of the public can send financial contributions as the family begins preparations to lay his father to rest.

DJ Shiti’s appeal comes as the family mourns the loss of his father, Richard Ndede Mbanda, following a battle with cancer.

The comedian had earlier announced his father’s death on September 17, 2026, revealing that he had battled cancer for seven years.

“My old man joined his ancestors yesterday morning, after battling cancer for 7 years. One day cancer will also die. Rest in power Omwami Richard Ndede Mbanda,” Shiti wrote in a tribute shared on social media.

Through a video, DJ Shiti also shared a tribute video capturing moments he had spent with his father.

The video offered a glimpse into their relationship as Shiti mourned the loss of his father.
