The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened a 30-day inter-institutional transfer application window for students who wish to change the institutions where they were placed for the 2026 academic year.
In a notice issued to applicants, KUCCPS invited students recently placed in universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions to take advantage of the transfer period if they wish to move to a different institution.
“Were you recently placed in a university or TVET programme and wish to move to a different institution? Take advantage of the current 30-day inter-institutional transfer application period,” KUCCPS said.
The placement agency directed eligible applicants to log in to the KUCCPS Students’ Portal and submit their transfer applications before the deadline.
The inter-institutional transfer process allows students to request a change of institution after placement, subject to approval by the receiving institution, the releasing institution, and KUCCPS.
Applicants have been advised to complete their applications within the 30-day window and follow updates through KUCCPS’ official communication channels.
