Content creator from Nairobi, Juliette Awata, has exposed a man she met on Facebook for allegedly ditching her with a Ksh 10,000 bar bill at Sarit Centre rooftop lounge.

Awata stated that the man identified as Allan Blessed Ochieng contacted her on Sunday afternoon and asked her out for drinks.

After checking his profile that she says had friends and photos all over, she agreed to the date.

“I had carefully gone through his profile nikaona he looks good, he has his photos and friends all over,” wrote Awata on a Facebook post.

The two later met in the evening where Awata says he ordered her cocktail and cheese fries while he drank by himself.

Awata added that he moved her chair closer and made small talk before excusing himself to take a phone call.

“He threw a few compliments here and there… Eeeey sharp boy!” she stated.

Awata claims that Ochieng made two more phone calls and excused himself to deal with something.

After he did not show up after some time, she called for the waitress to check if he had paid for the bill.

“Shock, he didn’t pay anything… Not even his own drinks! And that’s how I ended up paying a 10k bill while I had only eaten 1550… I was held for a while to produce him!” she wrote.

Awata tried to reach out to Ochieng after the incident, but he no longer replied to her messages.

She shared his full name and warned him she would expose him publicly if he didn’t pay her back.

“Allan blessed Ochieng, he deleted his account after I told him I am going to post him if he doesn’t pay me back,” Awata stated.

She further added that she felt embarrassed over the situation as she had met people through Facebook before without facing such issues.

“For real, for real, something like that has never happened to me!! I have made friends through fb before and really good friends… I thought I was being careful enough, even this time!” she added.

The post has since garnered reactions from social media users who have warned others to be careful when meeting people through social media.
