Lioness Empire Studios Parts Ways With Andy Deh After Natalie Githinji Remarks

Lioness Empire Studios has parted ways with Andy Deh after remarks he made about media personality Natalie Githinji sparked backlash online.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 1, the studio said Andy would no longer be affiliated with the Lioness Sayso Talkshow following an interview recorded on August 28 and aired the next day.

The decision has also seen content featuring Andy removed from the show’s channel and the studio’s social media platforms.

Lioness Sayso draws the line

Lioness Empire Studios said it does not condone Andy’s behaviour or remarks during the interview and would no longer have him as a guest on the programme.

“We do not condone his behavior or remarks in the interview,” the studio said.

Content featuring Andy has since been removed from the Lioness Sayso Talkshow channel and Lioness Empire Studios’ social media platforms.

The statement also named the official artist page Sironka Lioness among the platforms where content associated with Andy has been taken down.

Andy’s departure follows criticism that intensified after the interview was aired, with his comments about Githinji becoming a subject of discussion online.

Lioness Empire Studios did not detail the specific remarks in its statement but said there would be “no further affiliation” with Andy.

The studio also sent its sympathies to anyone affected by the incident.

Natalie’s health puts remarks under scrutiny

Githinji has been open about living with stage four endometriosis and has shared parts of her health journey with her audience.

Her openness has brought more attention to the condition and the challenges that come with living with it.

Andy’s comments during the Lioness Sayso interview brought renewed attention to Githinji’s health, particularly remarks concerning endometriosis and emergency contraceptive pills.
