MCA Tricky Exits Milele FM After Six Years, Reveals His Next Move

Francis Munyao, popularly known as MCA Tricky, has left Milele FM after six years following a disagreement over study leave, and will now focus on his education and new media opportunities.

MCA Tricky announced his departure from Mediamax Network Ltd’s Milele FM in a statement dated July 22, 2026, confirming that he served at the station from June 2020 to June 2026.

“Today, I officially close one of the most important chapters of my life. After six unforgettable years, I have officially left Mediamax Network Ltd’s Milele FM, where I proudly served from June 2020 to June 2026,” he stated.

He described the decision as difficult and emphasized his deep passion for radio and the strong connection he built with his audience over the years.

Over time, he grew into a familiar voice on the station and built lasting relationships with listeners.

“This wasn’t an easy decision. Radio has never been just a job to me, it has been a calling, filled with unforgettable shows, meaningful conversations, and loyal listeners who became part of my journey, and for that, I will always be grateful,” he said.

He added that the experience shaped both his career and personal growth, and he will always value the memories he created on air.

MCA Tricky Study Leave Dispute

Meanwhile, MCA Tricky said he engaged management in discussions over his request for a short unpaid study leave as he continues pursuing his academic goals, but the talks did not produce an agreement. As a result, he chose to leave and prioritize his studies.

“While our paths have now diverged, I leave with appreciation for the experiences, lessons, and friendships built over the past six years,” he stated.

Looking ahead, the radio host hinted at his next move and signalled the start of a new chapter while keeping specific details private.

For now, he focuses on the transition and the opportunities ahead.

“As one chapter ends, another begins… this goodbye is not the end of my story, it is the beginning of a new chapter,” he added.

Appreciation to Fans and Colleagues

Finally, MCA Tricky thanked Mediamax Network Ltd for the opportunity to serve and praised his colleagues, including producers, technicians, and co-presenters, for their support throughout his journey.

He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his listeners for their unwavering support.

“You welcomed me into your homes, your cars, your workplaces, and your lives. You laughed with me, encouraged me, corrected me, and stood by me throughout this journey,” he said.

Finally, he wished the station continued success and reaffirmed his appreciation for everyone who played a role in his six-year journey at Milele FM.
