The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) have announced job vacancies, inviting qualified candidates to apply for senior positions in the two state agencies.
In a notice dated Friday, April 24, 2026, the Teachers Service Commission said a selection panel had been constituted to oversee the recruitment of nominees for appointment as two members of the Commission.
“Pursuant to the provisions of Article 237(1), (2) and (3) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 8(5) of the Teachers Service Commission Act (Cap. 212), the Selection Panel invites applications from suitably qualified persons to be considered for nomination for appointment as two members of the Teachers Service Commission,” read part of the notice.
According to the Commission, applicants must be Kenyan citizens holding a degree from a recognised university, with at least 10 years’ experience in fields such as education, governance, management, or law. Candidates must also meet the integrity requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Successful candidates will be tasked with providing strategic direction and oversight to the Commission, formulating policies, ensuring compliance with teaching standards, managing teachers’ payroll, and overseeing career progression and professional development within the teaching service.

They will also monitor the conduct and performance of teachers and ensure the Commission effectively delivers on its constitutional mandate.
The positions are full-time, with appointees expected not to hold any other gainful employment.
Members will serve a non-renewable term of six years, with remuneration determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
However, individuals serving as Members of Parliament or County Assemblies, members of political party governing bodies, or those previously found to have violated Chapter Six of the Constitution are not eligible for appointment.
Applicants are required to submit a detailed curriculum vitae (not exceeding three pages), copies of academic and professional certificates, a national identity card or passport, and relevant testimonials.
Applications can be submitted through hand delivery to the Ministry of Public Service offices at Harambee House, via email to selectionpaneltsc@psyg.go.ke, or by post to the Selection Panel’s address in Nairobi.
Names of all applicants will be published on the Ministry’s website, while shortlisted candidates and interview schedules will be announced in daily newspapers and online platforms.
Shortlisted candidates will also be required to present clearance certificates from agencies including the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, a Credit Reference Bureau, and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
The Commission warned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification. Applications must be submitted by Monday, May 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The position, which reports to the Board of Directors, is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Authority and execution of its mandate in line with the Civil Aviation Act (Cap. 394).
