KeNHA Announces Mass Hiring for Engineers and Drivers — How to Apply

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has invited applications from qualified individuals to fill 41 permanent and pensionable vacancies as the state corporation strengthens efforts to manage and maintain national trunk roads.

According to the notice, KeNHA is seeking to recruit professionals for various posts, including engineers, ICT specialists, HR personnel, drivers, and office assistants.

The advertisement specifies that the Authority is seeking applications from “suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.

Available Vacancies

  1. Engineer (Roads) – 27 positions
  2. ICT Officer II – 2 positions
  3. Human Resource Management Officer II – 1 position
  4. Driver III – 10 positions
  5. Office Assistant I – 1 position

This makes the number of vacancies advertised 41.

Application Process and Deadline

Interested candidates are required to download and fill out a job application form available on the Authority’s official website.

The notice requires applicants to obtain forms from “www.kenha.co.ke” and to attach copies of National Identity Card (ID), CV, academic/professional certificates and testimonials.

KeNHA has set December 29, 2025, 5:00 p.m. as the submission deadline and warns that canvassing will result in disqualification.

Interviews will only be conducted with the shortlisted candidates.

The Authority also highlighted its equal employment opportunities by asking women and persons with disabilities and marginalized persons to apply.

The notice states:

“KeNHA is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and gender equality. Persons with disabilities, women and those from marginalized areas are encouraged to apply.”

Another requirement is that applicants with disabilities are requested to “indicate their status on the application form.”

Shortlisted Candidates are required to show Mandatory Clearance Documents.

Applicants who are selected to attend the interview have to adhere to Chapter Six of the Constitution as far as integrity is concerned.

They will be required to present key clearance certificates, which the notice indicates as follows:

  • Ethics and anti-corruption commission clearance certificate.
  • Kenya Revenue Authority Tax Compliance Certificate.
  • Higher Education Loans Board Clearance Certificate or evidence of continued payments.
  • Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the National Police Service
  • Clearance by Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

The notice clearly states that” the above documents will not be required at the point of application.”
