Dola Indidis is a Kenyan lawyer and former spokesperson for the Kenyan Judiciary who sued Israel and Italy over the death of Jesus.
He first filed a legal petition in 2007 at the Nairobi High Court related to the trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago.
The lawyer sued King Herod, Pontius Pilate, the Chief Priest of the Jews, and Jewish elders for what they did to Jesus.
He said he is pursuing the case of Jesus Christ as a human.
“I’m pursuing a case of Jesus Christ as a human being and injustice was done to him. He was not allowed to be heard,” Indidis said.

In 2013, the lawyer proceeded to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Hague, Netherlands, where he filed a petition seeking the governments of Israel and Italy to be held responsible for the unlawful death of Jesus.
In his petition, the lawyer argued that Jesus’ trial was unlawful and violated basic principles of justice, including judicial misconduct, bias, and abuse of office.
He also noted that the legal proceedings and punishment imposed on Jesus were incompatible withthe rule of law standards that should have applied at the time.

Indidis submitted biblical related accounts as part of his evidence to support his petition in court.
He also said that Pontius Pilate was pressured to crucify Jesus, noting that even though Jesus was meant to die for humanity as stated in the Bible, the way of his death was unbearable.
“Evidence which we have today is on the record; the Bible is such evidence that you cannot discredit,” Indidis explained. However, some legal experts have widely pointed out that the ICJ does not have jurisdiction over such claims, especially those involving historical events and non-state claimants, and there’s no indication that the court took meaningful action on his petition.
