Kenya Airways has announced the retirement of Flight Purser Asha Mohamed, who has worked for them for 37 years, in a heartfelt message.
In an official statement posted on December 26th, 2025, Kenya Airways said Asha Mohamed has retired.
She operated her final flight, from JFK to Nairobi, on Christmas Day, serving the guests with the same warmth, precision, and pride that defined her career from day one.
“Yesterday, we marked the retirement of Flight Purser Asha Mohamed, bringing to a close an exceptional 37-year journey of service with Kenya Airways,” said Kenya Airways.

According to Kenya Airways, Mohamed carried out her duties in the skies effectively in relation to customers’ values.
Asha worked with care, discipline, and an unwavering focus on serving a safe and memorable journey for each quest.
She leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, grace, and passion for service. Asha leaves behind a legacy that has inspired generations of cabin crew and aviation professionals.
“Throughout her years in the sky, Asha consistently embodied our value of customer obsession, leading with care, discipline, and an unwavering focus on delivering safe, memorable journeys for every guest on board,” said KQ.

The historic flight, which was widely covered by media personality Jeremy Damaris, captured the tears, smiles, and powerful tributes that marked the end of an era.
Additionally, Kenya Airways acknowledged Asha for her invaluable contribution to the in-flight team and for leaving behind a lasting legacy of excellence, leadership, and pride in the KQ uniform.
They added, “We thank you, Asha, for your immense contribution to our in-flight team and for a legacy built on excellence, leadership, and love for the KQ uniform, a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.”
