The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has temporarily lifted the suspension of 263 vehicles belonging to Naekana Route 134 Sacco, one of the four public transport operators suspended on January 19, 2026.
In a notice dated Saturday, January 24, 2026, NTSA said the reprieve will remain in effect until Monday, January 26, 2026, in line with a ruling by the Transport Licensing Appeals Board (TLAB) in Appeal Case No. TLAB/E001/2026.
“The Authority has temporarily lifted the suspension order on 263 vehicles belonging to Naekana Route 134 Sacco until Monday, January 26, 2026, in line with the Transport Licensing Appeals Board’s ruling,” read the notice.
NTSA stated that under the terms of the order, the operator has until Monday, January 26, 2026, to submit a compliance matrix to the TLAB, after which the board will issue further directions.
However, the Authority clarified that 128 vehicles previously flagged remain prohibited from operating as public service vehicles. The list of affected vehicles is available on the NTSA website.
