Architecture courses at five different universities have recorded some of the highest cluster points from 2018 to 2024, signifying high competitiveness.
The trends within the Bachelor of Architectural Studies and Bachelor of Architecture courses at Technical University of Mombasa, Kenyatta University, University of Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and Technical University of Kenya reveal unique trends over seven years.
Between 2018 and 2024, cluster points have changed across institutions, with most universities recording points above 39 during this period.
The University of Nairobi recorded cluster points of 43.755 in 2018, rising to 44.41 in 2019 before slightly dropping to 43.902 in 2020 and then 43.198 in 2021.
The programme stood at 43.794 in 2022, then at 42.99 in 2023, before dropping to 42.524 in 2024
Kenyatta University’s Bachelor of Architecture scored 42.867 in 2018 and rose to 43.264 in 2019.
It scored 42.629 in 2020 and 42.315 in 2021, before rising slightly to 42.407 in 2022.
The cluster scored 41.494 in 2023 and 41.119 in 2024.

In Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, the cluster points were 39.92 in 2018.
The cluster points then climbed up to 42.967 in 2019.
The university had 43.16 points in 2020.
The cluster points were 42.016 in 2021, 42.528 in 2022, 41.803 in
Technical University of Kenya scored 42.286 in 2018, 42.706 in 2019, and 42.399 in 2020.

In 2021, the university received 40.979, and in 2022, it received 41.962.
However, in 2023 and 2024,the Technical University of Mombasa had 39.265 points in 2018 and 40.303 points in 2019.
In 2020, the university had 41.075 points and 39.176 points in 2021.
The Technical University of Mombasa had 40.571 points in 2022 and 38.365
All of these five universities retained competitive cluster points over the review period, with the majority of their points remaining above 40, emphasizing the demand for such architecture courses.
