Gor Mahia produced a commanding first-half display to beat KCB 3-0 and stretch their lead at the top of the FKF Premier League table to six points.
The match, played in rainy conditions at Nyayo Stadium, saw K’Ogalo race into a comfortable lead before the break.
Midfielder Enock Morrison opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a powerful long-range strike that left the KCB goalkeeper rooted to the spot.
Just four minutes later, Shariff Musa doubled the advantage after weaving past his markers and calmly slotting home to make it 2-0 inside 28 minutes.
With rain pounding the slippery surface, Gor Mahia remained relentless. Samuel Kapen added the third goal on the stroke of halftime, effectively putting the result beyond doubt.
After the restart, Gor Mahia eased the tempo but remained in control.

Kapen nearly grabbed his second in the 56th minute but failed to convert.
The victory marked Gor Mahia’s sixth consecutive win and extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches since their 1-0 Mashemeji Derby loss to AFC Leopards on December 7.
Head coach Charles Akonnor praised his team’s consistency and hunger in the title race.
“The players showed great intensity and discipline, especially in the first half. We took our chances well and managed the game professionally after the break. The focus now is to maintain this momentum,” he said.
Midfielder Enock Morrison also highlighted the team’s determination.
“We are working hard in every training session. Everyone understands what is at stake, and we want to keep winning to achieve our target,” Morrison said.
With 46 points from 21 matches, Gor Mahia sit six points ahead of second-placed AFC Leopards, who have a game in hand.

The result significantly boosts K’Ogalo’s chances of reclaiming the league crown from defending champions Kenya Police FC, who trail far behind in seventh place.
As the season enters its decisive stretch, the question remains whether Gor Mahia can sustain their impressive form and fend off their rivals to lift the trophy.
