IN PICTURES: President Ruto Presides Over Prison Officers’ Passing-Out Parade in Ruiru

President Ruto presided over the 46th Passing-Out Parade at the Prisons Staff Training College in Ruiru, Kiambu County, on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
This Passing-Out Parade marked the graduation ceremony for 3,862 newly trained officers in the Kenya Prisons Service.
The officers graduated after completing a nine-month training period in paramilitary training and their respective professions.
This Passing-Out Parade comprised officers who had undergone challenging training sessions.
During the ceremony, the officers presented a guard of honor to the President. He inspected the guard of honor while the officers marched in formation.
During this ceremony, senior government officials, including ministers, joined the President in appreciating the discipline exhibited by the recruits during their training.
This Passing-Out Parade offered a wonderful visual experience.
It featured scenes such as the arrival of the President, the inspection of the rank, the march pasts, and scenes depicting the graduates crossing the stage to receive their certificates while reporting for active duty.
