President William Ruto has led the country in mourning Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament (MP) Johana Ng’eno and the five killed in the Nandi helicopter crash.
In a statement, Ruto said he received news about Ng’eno’s death with shock and sadness.
“I have received with profound shock and deep sadness the news this evening of the passing of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Mheshimiwa Johana Ng’eno,” Ruto said.
Ruto eulogized the late MP as progressive and devoted servant of the people who worked tirelessly on behalf of the residents of Emurua Dikirr, Narok County.
He stated that Ng’eno fought for justice and equality for the people of Narok.

“My friend, Mheshimiwa Ng’eno, was a progressive and devoted servant of the people who worked tirelessly on behalf of the residents of Emurua Dikirr, Narok County,” he said.
“He was focused, vocal, and fearless; a leader who stood firmly for justice and equity for all,” Ruto added.

Ruto said Ng’eno will be remembered for the tangible progress achieved under his leadership and his exemplary commitment to promoting local talent, especially in music.
He also sent condolences to the families of other five casualties.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends, the people of Emurua Dikirr, and all the victims and families affected by the helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County,” Ruto added.
