The Nairobi Rivers Commission (NRC) has announced internship opportunities for selected diploma and degree holders.
In a statement dated March 3, 2026, the Commission said the internship recruitment will be conducted under the financial year 2025/2026. The positions available are for clerks, with 20 slots open under the River Regeneration Project.
“The Nairobi Rivers Commission (NRC) was established via Kenya Gazette Notice No. 13907 to coordinate the restoration and beautification of the Nairobi Rivers Basin. The NRC is pleased to recruit energetic and self-motivated Kenyans for twenty (20) internship positions under FY 2025/2026,” part of the statement read.
The internship period will last five months, ending on 30th June 2026, and the duty station will be at the River Regeneration Project sites in Nairobi. Stipends will be provided in line with prevailing Government and Public Service Commission (PSC) guidelines.

Applicants must complete all sections and provide accurate information. The form collects basic contact details, including the applicant’s email, position applied for, and personal information such as full name, title, date of birth, ID number, KRA PIN, gender, ethnicity, home county, current residence, and telephone number.
Applicants are asked whether they are living with a disability, and if so, to provide details of the disability and registration with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities.
Candidates must also provide their highest academic qualification, specifying whether it is a diploma, bachelor’s degree, or other qualification, along with the year of graduation and their area of specialisation, such as Human Resource, Engineering, Counselling, or other relevant fields.
