“Comprehensive security, traffic management and public safety measures have been put in place ahead of the World Rally Championship Safari Rally Kenya scheduled to take place from 12th to 15th March, 2026 in Naivasha and surrounding areas,” read part of the statement.

More than 1,000 police officers drawn from different formations will be deployed across rally routes, spectator zones and key access roads to provide security, manage crowds and support traffic control during the four-day event.

Authorities have also cautioned motorists to exercise extra care due to ongoing heavy rainfall in several areas, warning of the possibility of localised flooding along some roads.

Meanwhile, spectators attending the rally have been urged to watch the competition only from designated spectator zones, follow safety instructions issued by security officers and event marshals, and avoid accessing restricted rally tracks or operational areas.

The government called on rally fans, residents and visitors to cooperate with security officers and rally officials and adhere to traffic guidelines to ensure the successful and safe hosting of the global motorsport event.
