HF Group Plc has announced key leadership changes within its board and subsidiary, HFC Limited, in a move aimed at strengthening governance and deepening banking expertise.
HF Group confirmed the appointment of Elizabeth Gitau as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective March 13, 2026.
In a statement, the board expressed confidence in her capabilities, noting her extensive experience in human resource management across corporate and consultancy environments.
“Ms. Gitau is a highly experienced and versatile human resource management professional… with a distinguished track record,” the company stated.
Gitau brings extensive regional and global experience, having worked in Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa.
She has also held leadership roles in internationally recognized organisations such as Unilever and KPMG.

HF Group’s subsidiary, HFC Limited, also announced the appointment of Samuel Mwangi Makome as Chairman, following approval from the Central Bank of Kenya.
“Makome is a seasoned career banker, bringing over three decades of experience… excelling in strategic leadership, business development, operations and risk management,” the company said.
