One of the notable alumni of Chuka University is John Lapit Tingoi, a prominent Kenyan data scientist and quantitative researcher.
He graduated from Chuka University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science.
Tingoi rose to prominence in 2025 after achieving global recognition by being placed third out of over 80,000 participants in the International Quant Championship held in Singapore.
Before the global finals, he emerged as the Kenyan national champion, outperforming more than 9,000 local contestants.
He currently works as a Quantitative Research Consultant at WorldQuant BRAIN, where he designs “alphas”, mathematical models used to predict movements in global financial markets.

Adrian Oluoch is a former student leader from Chuka University who has gained national attention for his legal activism and media presence.
He completed his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree at Chuka University in 2024 before proceeding to the Kenya School of Law for the Advocates Training Program (ATP).
