The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced scheduled maintenance of the iTax system.
In a statement, KRA informed all stakeholders that the planned maintenance will take place on Sunday, March 22, from 6 pm to 10 pm.
The process will take four hours, and all KRA users will be affected.
“Please be advised that there will be a scheduled maintenance of iTax from Sunday, 22nd March 2026, 6:00 pm to Sunday, 22nd March 2026, 10:00 pm. We regret any inconvenience caused,” KRA said.
iTax allows you to register for a PIN, file your tax returns, apply for a tax compliance certificate, generate a payment slip, and check your ledger account, among others.

Taxpayers can file iTAX KRA returns for Pay As You Earn (PAYE), Value Added Tax (VAT), Individual Income Tax Return, Corporate Income Tax, Partnership Tax Returns, and Excise.
Based on the tax obligation, the taxpayer needs to select one of the following return types available in the iTAX KRA Online portal.
