About PropelA Dual Apprenticeship Programme

The PropelA Dual Apprenticeship Initiative is a flagship skills development programme that promotes an employer-led dual apprenticeship system for Kenya’s construction sector.

It addresses the rising demand and low supply of qualified technical skills, particularly in plumbing and electrical trades.

Apprentices gain relevant skills through two learning locations: on-the-job training in partner companies and theoretical learning at school.

The training model is structured so that apprentices work in private partner companies for three weeks a month under company mentors and attend the TVET school at Don Bosco Boys Town – Karen for one week a month.
