According to reports, the incident occurred near Kimende, bringing to an abrupt end a medical journey that turned tragic.

The victims included the patient, two accompanying relatives, the patient’s husband, a nurse, and the ambulance driver.

The latest reports by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) reveal that 3,397 Kenyans have died in road accidents since January 1, 2025.
This figure is 28 more than the number recorded during the same period in 2024. In addition, 17,270 people have been affected, representing 291 more than last year.
Pedestrians account for 1,285 deaths, followed by 858 motorcyclists, 568 passengers, and 309 drivers.
