Share

Celestine Ndinda, popularly known as Wakavinye, is a Kenyan digital content creator, producer, and entrepreneur who has built a strong presence in the country’s online creative space through lifestyle storytelling, family-centred content, and live comedy productions.

She was born on December 3, 1992, in Mathare, Nairobi. Ndinda was raised in Githurai, where she also attended her primary and secondary school education.

She later joined the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC), where she studied Studio Technical Operations.

Her training in technical production laid the foundation for her role behind the scenes in digital content development before she later transitioned into on-screen creative work.

Marriage Life

While at KIMC, she met comedian Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Njugush.

The two later formed both a creative and business partnership that contributed significantly to the growth of their digital productions and live comedy events.

They got married on December 16, 2016, and have two sons, Tugi, born in 2018, and Toria, born in 2022.

Ndinda initially worked mostly behind the scenes, supporting production planning and even execution before she gradually built her own presence as a digital storyteller.

She has since developed a large number of followers across social media platforms where she shares parenting experiences, lifestyle content, and insights on personal growth and financial discipline. Her work continues to attract partnerships with several brands.

However, Njugush announced on April 21 that they had separated and are currently cooperating, sparking conversations on social media.

She has also played a central role in the organisation and production of the live comedy show Through Thick and Thin (TTNT), which has been staged in various locations in Kenya and internationally.

Outside media production, Ndinda has also gained attention because of her fitness journey, which she shares with her followers.

In 2024, she completed the Standard Chartered Nairobi Half Marathon, and in 2026, she participated in the Two Oceans Marathon, which took place in South Africa.

Awards

Ndinda’s contribution to digital storytelling and content creation earned her recognition at the 2025 Women in Film Awards, where she received the Best Digital Content Creator award.
