Wanjiku Oltmanns Accuses Kerry Martin of Abandoning Her and Premature Baby in Hospital

Digital creator Wanjiku Oltmanns accuses former radio presenter Kerry Martin of abandoning her and her premature baby in the hospital after she gave birth.

In a TikTok video, Wanjiku has publicly called out former Kiss FM presenter Kerry Martin for abandoning her in the hospital with pending medical bills after delivery.

Wanjiku claims she was abandoned by Kerry even before she gave birth at the hospital. Saying the baby was delivered prematurely at twenty-seven weeks and required specialised NICU care.

“I had been left in the hospital with my premature baby and the bills,” she said in the video.

Funds for the Hospital Bill

According to Wanjiku, the child remained under medical observation at the facility while she struggled to raise funds to settle the hospital charges.

She stated that the situation had placed her under emotional and financial strain as she tried to secure support for both herself and the infant.

Wanjiku said she was calling Kerry, but he was never answering her calls.

“The baby was premature and still needs care, but I had been left there to handle everything alone,” she said.

Wanjiku further claimed she had been communicating the situation publicly after efforts to resolve the matter privately did not yield any progress because she has never heard from Kerry.

“There was a point where I was begging him, saying your baby needs a father.” She explained in the video.

Emotional Distress

Wanjiku explained how she was embarrassed to say the truth, so she lied to everyone around her, including her church.

This made it difficult for her to manage the situation because her community thought the infant had a father.

“I lied to everyone around me because I was embarrassed,” She told her audience.

Wanjiku claims to have stayed at the hospital where she gave birth for three months because she had an outstanding bill of Ksh 500,000.

“Nilikaa hosi for three months and the bill was about Ksh 500,000.”She said.

Wanjiku added in the video that she was so confident that Kerry was a noble man and could not abandon his child.

She says her friends and church helped her raise some money and she was later discharged to pay the remaining bill from home, which is Ksh 136,000.

These claims have therefore attracted widespread reactions across social media platforms, with users expressing mixed responses as the matter continued to circulate online.

Some netizens are even asking her how they can help reduce the bill since she admitted that she is struggling to work and take care of her baby as well as paying the remaining hospital bill.

“Give us your number, we’ll help with the bill.” One TikTok user commented on Wanjiku’s post.

Kerry Martin has not issued a public response to the allegations made by Wanjiku regarding the hospital stay or even the medical expenses and if the baby is his.

Further updates are expected should Kerry issue a statement accepting or denying the allegations.
