Kenyan marathoner Sebastian Sawe has broken the world record at the London Marathon by becoming the first man to run under two hours, finishing in 1:59:30 to surpass the previous record of 2:00:35 held by the late Kelvin Kiptum.

The performance of Sawe has been described as one of the most dominant marathon displays in recent memory, with Sawe pushing the limits of endurance running.
