The Sports Disputes Tribunal has suspended the FKF NEC’s decision to remove President Hussein Mohammed, CEO Dennis Gicheru, and NEC member Abdallah Yusuf over graft allegations.
In a statement, the Tribunal said it decided perusal of the Statement of Claim dated April 26, 2026, and the Verifying Affidavit of Ahmed Abdi Mohamed, sworn on the same date, together with the accompanying documents, including the List of Witnesses, Witness Statement, and List of Documents.
The Tribunal hereby directed that the matters be certified as urgent.
“The Tribunal grants a temporary order of injunction restraining the Respondents, whether by themselves, their officials, agents, servants or any persons acting under their authority, from effecting the entire Resolutions as passed on 24th April 2026 until the Mention date stated at Order 6 here below,” reads part of the ruling.
Further, the Tribunal said the Applicant shall serve the Respondents and Interested Parties with the Statement of Claim, Notice of Motion, and all accompanying documents, together with this Order, by 12:00 p.m. on 29th April 2026. Service may be effected physically or through electronic means.
The Respondents and Interested Parties shall file and serve their responses to both the Statement of Claim and the Notice of Motion Application on or before 12:00 p.m. on May 4, 2026.
Given the urgency of the matter, the parties may also make oral submissions during the mention.
The Tribunal panel hearing the matter shall comprise:
i. Hon. Allan Mola – Panel Chair
ii. Hon. Luke Wamugunda
iii. Hon. Victor Omwebu
The matter shall be mentioned on May 5, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. via Microsoft Teams before the Tribunal for confirmation of compliance and further directions.

FKF National Executive Committee has suspended Mohamed, Gicheru, and Yusuf over allegations of misappropriation of Ksh 42 million allocated for CHAN preparations.
The Committee picked Macdonald Mariga Wanyama to take over the roles and responsibilities of President of the Federation in an acting capacity.

However, Hussein Mohammed dismissed claims of mismanagement of KSh 42 million in the 2025 CHAN insurance arrangement.
In a statement issued on April 25, Mohammed said no funds were lost and maintained that the insurance procurement followed the CAF Host Agreement framework governing tournament operations.
He emphasized that all CHAN 2025 services were in accordance with the signed CAF Host Agreement.
