Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the 76th FIFA Congress in Vancouver, Canada, in 2026.
The meeting comes after the FKF National Executive Committee has suspended Mohamed alongside two other FKF officials over allegations of misappropriation of Ksh 42 million allocated for CHAN preparations.
In a statement, Mohammed said the meeting brought together 54 Presidents of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Gianni Infantino emphasized the importance of unity in African football as a key driver of growth and development.
He also praised the record participation of 10 African teams in the upcoming World Cup, describing it as a major milestone for the continent.
“Together with 54 presidents of CAF member associations, we met and discussed the significant success of African football in recent years and what the future holds for us under the leadership of President Patrice Motsepe,” Mohammed said.
“FIFA President Gianni Infantino honoured the event and reiterated the importance of unity in African football as a powerful tool for growth and development. He appreciated the record number of 10 African teams participating in the upcoming World Cup.”
