A fire outbreak has been reported at Dr. Aggrey High School located in Taita Taveta County, leading to an immediate call for emergency measures from the concerned parties, both in government and the wider society.
In accordance with information provided by the Kenya Red Cross Society through a press release, measures to combat the raging fire were promptly initiated following its discovery.
Emergency teams were sent to the school to fight the fire effectively.
“A fire has broken out at Dr. Aggrey High School in Taita Taveta County. The cause is unknown,” said the Kenya Red Cross Society.
The Kenya Red Cross noted that its Taita Taveta branch team is actively working alongside community members and students to bring the fire under control.

Firefighting efforts have been intensified, with responders focusing on containing the spread to nearby structures within the school.
“Community members, students and our Kenya Red Cross – Taita Taveta Branch team are on the ground and actively working to contain the situation,” the organization stated.
Authorities have yet to determine the origin of the fire, and investigations are expected to commence once the flames are fully extinguished.
School officials have not issued a detailed report on the extent of the damage.
Despite the alarming nature of the incident, there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities.

“No casualties have been reported at this time,” the Kenya Red Cross added.
